We’re so excited this brand-new Irish documentary is coming to the heart of our community! 🌱🥔
The Garden Where the Praties Grow explores the story of the potato in Irish life — not just as food, but as a powerful symbol of survival, resilience, and identity. Told through traditional music, song, and dance, the film celebrates our heritage in a way that is moving, uplifting, and uniquely Irish.
🌟The film is directed by Anthony Hughes, and produced by Tommy Hayes, world-renowned percussionist, composer, and Killaloe resident. Tommy is a founding member of Stockton’s Wing, and has performed across the globe with some of Ireland’s greatest musicians. His innovative work has pushed the boundaries of Irish percussion, while always staying deeply rooted in tradition.
