The Killaloe/Ballina Community and Family Resource Centre received funding to establish a community playground in 2007. A Playground working group was established which put out a tender after undertaking a community consultation in the local schools.
The Playground opened in 2009 and it has been a very busy and much loved facility in our community.Â
Killaloe/Ballina Community & Family Resource Centre still supports the Playground sub-committee in looking after the day to day maintenance of Killaloe Community Playground, the insurance, scheduling annual ROSPA inspection, reviewing the report and overseeing repairs needed to keep the playground fit for purpose. Funding comes primarily from grants from Clare County Council.
