Linda Stainsby
Development Worker
Linda has over 20 years’ experience of working in the community – from The Hazelwood Project in the Burren, to biodiversity and research at Irish Seed Savers, to numerous Community Development Projects.
She works to support diverse target groups including youth, LGBTQI+, women and people with disabilities. She has a particular interest in the area of mental health & wellbeing. Linda works collaboratively with relevant community partners and organisations to assess local needs and to share skills and resources, to support the development of responsive and inclusive community initiatives, awareness raising events and to develop referral pathways to supports and services.
She is passionate about Community Development as a process of empowerment to action, which tackles inequality, exclusion and isolation by providing meaningful opportunities for active participation for all.
Her specific strengths include: Strategic Planning; Sourcing funding; Strong organisational skills, developing Policies & Procedures; Team work; Interpersonal skills – listening; Artistic and creative.
