@musicgenerationclare is running an exciting free three day music programme for young people aged 16–24 years in Killaloe/Ballina Community & Family Resource Centre from Monday 27th July to Wednesday 29th July.

Join experienced music tutors for three days of creative workshops, skill-building, collaboration, and a final performance opportunity at@glor_ennis.

A great chance to try something new, meet other young people, and explore your creativity in a fun and supportive environment.

No cost involved. Lunch provided. Transport provided for the final performance.

Parenting Programmes 2026
At KBFRC, we understand that every stage of family life brings new experiences and challenges. Our Parenting Programmes 2026 offer a range of evidence-based parenting programmes designed to help parents and caregivers build confidence, strengthen family relationships and develop practical skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
This autumn we are offering:
Parent Plus Adolescent Programme
Supporting parents and caregivers of young people aged 11–18 years to better understand adolescence, strengthen communication and respond confidently to the challenges of the teenage years.
Non-Violent Resistance Programme
For parents and caregivers of children and young people aged 7–18 years, providing practical, compassionate strategies for responding calmly, safely and effectively to challenging behaviours.
Circle of Security Programme
Helping parents and caregivers of children up to 10 years of age better understand their child’s emotional needs, strengthen attachment and build secure, positive relationships.
These programmes are open to parents, guardians and caregivers. We also encourage teachers, schools, GPs, health professionals and community organisations to share this information with families who may benefit from attending.

Growing Together: A New Vision for the Killaloe Ballina Community Garden 🌱

There’s something special about a community coming together to create something meaningful and that spirit is at the heart of the new Community Garden design in Killaloe Ballina.

This exciting initiative invites local residents, families, and volunteers to take part in shaping a shared green space that will benefit everyone. Whether you are an experienced gardener or simply curious about getting involved, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute.

🌿 An Invitation to Get Involved

A dedicated information session has been organised to give everyone a chance to learn more about the garden’s new design and how to take part:

  • Location: Community Garden
  • Date: 19th May
  • Time: 2:00 PM

This session will provide insight into the garden’s layout, features, and long-term vision. It is also a great chance to share ideas and have your voice included in the project.

The design of the new garden represents more than plants and pathways—it reflects the roots of the community itself. Like the tree featured in the poster, with its strong trunk and spreading roots, the garden symbolises growth, connection, and sustainability.

You are warmly invited to the opening of DoVIRA / TRUST: Voices of Refugee Women, a project dedicated to Refugee Week, developed by CLDC in collaboration with VIRA and Clare Museum.

 

This art and storytelling initiative brings together women with diverse migration experiences. Participants from four communities in County Clare — Ennis, Lisdoonvarna, Scariff, and Kilkee — have co-created large collaborative artworks reflecting their journeys, identities, memories, and cultural backgrounds.

 

The exhibition features:

– four collaborative art panels

– filmed interviews

– QR codes linking to personal stories

 

At the opening event, you will:

– meet the project team

– learn about the creative process

– hear stories from the participants
